Publication Ethics
What OAJEA expects of authors, reviewers and editors, and how we handle misconduct and retraction.
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement#
OAJEA follows the COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Authors#
Authors must ensure their work is entirely original, cite all sources, and disclose conflicts of interest and funding.
Reviewers#
Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential, declare competing interests, and decline assignments where they cannot be objective.
Editors#
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on intellectual merit, without regard to race, gender, religion, citizenship or political philosophy of the authors.
Plagiarism and Retraction#
Plagiarism, data fabrication and image manipulation are grounds for immediate rejection or, post-publication, retraction with public notice.
